God opened a door for me to join the youth from our church on a medical missions trip to  Honduras. We had an amazing week of building relationships and assisting the MAMA Medical Team as they touched the lives of the precious people living with little or no medical resources. On our last day while praying for God to send workers to complete a orphanage building project, I clearly heard God say; why not you.

This began a season of prayers, another visit to Honduras and a new ministry, "Why-Not-You. Many teams are traveling to Honduras to help complete the three story orphanage building, cover dirt floors in homes with concrete, and outreach projects with a local pastor. We are so blessed to have met so many loving hard working people.

Locally, God opened a resource center in Blossburg PA to provide new products for fifteen local non profit ministies in Bradford, Tioga and Sullivan County. I am amazed at where God leads when you hear his voice calling "why not you"!  We all have a God given talent or ability, I invite you to join the team and reach out to your community by helping in a soup kitchen, deliver products or help those who need a hand up.

God Bless you.

I am very thankful to have experiences of working with Y-Not-U Ministries. So many memories of trips to Honduras as well as local work has reminded me of how God is using this ministry to help so many people in need. I often feel like I am being blessed just as much as the people I am helping.

The people in Honduras have found a place in my heart and I have enjoyed building relationships with them. God is doing awesome things there and I am constantly amazed at how God continues to open doors for Y-Not-U, in Honduras. I look forward to many more great experiences with Y-Not-U Ministries.

My adventure in Honduras began when I had an opportunity to join some youth from our church on a medical missions team. That first trip lead us on an amazing journey. My husband heard God ask him to help complete an orphange and we have been stepping out in faith and listening to God's voice as He provides teams of people to partner with God's call.  Projects include finishing the orphanage, working with world vision, local pastors and the town Mayor to provide humanitarian needs for the wonderful people of Central America.

God will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go, He will guide me with His eye.  I am lead by the Spirit of God for I am God's Son. Psalms 32:8, Romans 8:14.

God never gave up on me. This is just one blessing I remember daily. When God called me to the mission feild I was the last person to know. God opened every door and closed every excuse. Seeing how missions effected myself and my family in our  walk with God is amazing.

The work in honduras is a constant reminder that God has plans for each and every one of his children. Y-Not-U has been such a large part of our lives, from the people you meet to the familys you become part of, GODS family!

To serve the one the true king! What a privlage and a blessing.

As a plumber, I have a passion for water.  I also have a passion for the people of Honduras.  My wife and I adopted our daughter from Honduras and that started my love for the country of Honduras.  As I have traveled to Honduras, I've been made keenly aware of their lack of clean water.

Without clean water, it is extremely difficult to stay healthy.  I have seen people fill all kinds of containers with very dirty and contaminated water.  But even if the water looks good many times it is not.  I am working as to help find ways to provide clean water for the communities we serve.

As a Pastor, I have a passion for people to meet Jesus, the giver of "Living Water."  Through the projects of Why Not You, we have the opportunity to share the love of God to those we serve.  It is a blessing to support the local churches and their pastors in their mission of sharing the love of Christ.

I've been blessed to be part of Why Not You for nearly two years.  My heart is for the communities we serve both locally and internationally in Honduras.  Locally, I've been able to participate in delivering supplies to organizations who help our communities each and every day, such as the Salvation Army, Head Start, and different pregnancy care centers.  The heart and passion of reaching in our communities is contagious.

I've also been part of two teams that have traveled to Honduras.  When we landed for the beginning of my second trip, I felt like I had returned home, even though I had only been there a week previously.  I've been part of Beautiful You, teaching modesty and purity to young women, handed out school supplies, played with countless children, hugged an older woman who sells bread from her home to support her family of 12, poured water into buckets to help as our team concrete floors.

It breaks my heart every time I leave, but I know in my heart that we have to return home to do more.  The needs are great and one person doing what they can makes all the difference.

My journey here in Hondruas started in the spring of 2017, that I thought would just be a short trip, which turned out to be a 2 1/2 month trip and now staff. I am so glad God knows best and has led me to this relational, God-centered based ministry. Where building your relationship with God and the people of Honduras are the most important.

My part of the missions is helping and working with under priveleged children to be able to attend school. From meeting people in the States who are looking to support a child and their family;  to buying the children's school supplies, investing in their lives, checking in on their studies, and guiding them in ther walks with God. I am very priveleged to be able to have the opportunity to serve God's Kingdom in this aspect, loving the kids of Honduras.

Matthew 28:19-20

“ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
